PraxiLabs Participates in Ain Shams Innovates 2022
Last Updated on July 30, 2022 by Mostafa Dr. Khadija El-Bedweihy, CEO of PraxiLabs, participates in the activities of “ASU Innovates 2022” competition. The event includes more than 14 talks for inspiring entrepreneurs, and Dr. Khadija participated in the talk under the title “Industry-Academia Convergence: Bridging the Skill Gap.” Dr. Khadija El-Bedweihy, Founder and CEO of PraxiLabs, shared the experience of PraxiLabs and how her innovative idea spread throughout the world so fast, emphasizing her belief in the need to develop education, especially to help students facing the challenges of university study and qualify them for the requirements of the job market. She said “This prompted me to search in a deeper way to create a solution that works to help educational institutions and enable them to overcome the obstacles that meet them, as they depend only in their teaching of science on traditional laboratories with high costs of employment and many risks of safety, in addition to the limited use that deprives students of the possibility to repeat experiments several times to enhance assimilation.” Hence, the idea of creating PraxiLabs’ virtual laboratories to simulate science experiments aims to solve most laboratories problems in educational institutions, starting from the …

Learn All about Bernoulli Equation and Its Applications
Last Updated on May 25, 2023 by Sara Assem Bernoulli equation, or the incompressible steady flow energy equation, is considered one of the most well-known equations in physics ( fluid mechanics) and it explains the conservation of mechanical work-energy. The equation was published in 1738 by Daniel Bernoulli (a Swiss physicist) to help us understand fluid flow. Daniel Bernoulli was born on February 8th, 1700, in the Netherlands. He studied mathematics and medicine under the guidance of his father Johann Bernoulli. In this article, we will discuss Bernoulli equation, principle, derivation, application and more. Bernoulli Equation P is the static pressure (the pressure of the fluid) ρ is the density V is the velocity G is the gravitational acceleration H is the elevation of the fluid Bernoulli’s theorem describes the relation between velocity, pressure, and elevation of a flowing fluid in a streamline. It states that the dynamic pressure plus the static pressure in the flow, one half of the density (r) times the velocity (V) squared, is equal to a constant throughout the flow. The constant is called the total pressure of the flow (pt). Or simply, the Bernoulli equation states that the sum of the potential, …

ELISpot Assay | Principle, Procedure, Benefits, and More
Last Updated on June 18, 2023 by Sara Assem ELISpot assay stands for the enzyme-linked immunospot assay. It is a very sensitive method used for measuring the number of cytokines secreting cells. And then measuring the antigen-specific T cells. In this article we will disscus ElISpot principle, steps, benifits, protocol, applications and more. ELISpot Assay for T Cell Responses ELISpot assay was developed for the quantification of cells that secrete proteins, such as cytokines and growth factors (ex: to estimate the frequency of specific B-lymphocytes). Now it is widely used as the technique of measuring T cell responses allowing the quantification of specific-cytokine secreting cells at the single-cell level. ELISpot Assay Principle ELIspot assay is conducted using a PVDF (or nitrocellulose) membrane 96-well plate, which is pre-coated with a specific capture antibody to the secreted protein. The cells are added to the plate and then they are stimulated for secreting their proteins. The secreted protein binds to the coating antibody. A specific antibody is added which is specific to the bound protein. After the incubation, the added cells are removed and the secreted proein molecule is detected by a determintion antibody complex in a similar procedure to that employed …

20 Examples of Law of Inertia In Everyday Life
Last Updated on April 11, 2023 by Sara Assem The principle of inertia is one of the fundamental principles in classical physics that are still used today to describe the motion of objects and how they are affected by the applied forces on them. Inertia comes from the Latin word, iners, meaning idle, sluggish. In this article, we will discuss inertia, its concept and will focus on the examples of law of inertia in everyday life. Inertia is a passive property and does not enable a body to do anything except oppose such active agents as forces and torques. On the surface of the Earth, inertia is often masked by gravity and the effects of friction and air resistance, both of which tend to decrease the speed of moving objects (commonly to the point of rest). This misled the philosopher Aristotle to believe that objects would move only as long as force was applied to them. What is Inertia of Motion? From Newton’s first law of motion, it is clear that a body has a tendency to remain at rest or in uniform motion. This property of the body is known as inertia. Thus inertia is that property of …
